The event was held and was very successful. The best part of it was David Hansen telling stoies, then other "old-timers" chiming in with related anecdotes. May 9 2026 at the Hotel Cathlamet on Main Street in Cathlamet WA 98612. Tickets for the event, and an online listing of the items up for auction will be available in early April.

Grant to safeguard the envelope
With much thanks to Joel McEntire and Jeff Wilson we were awarded a legislative grant o repair the envelope of the Julia Butler Hansen House: Roof, HVAC, Foundation, Security. We should be complete by early July, 2026.
Currently (June 1) completed:
Foundation work
HVAC work
Security work
The roof is being worked on

The house will be open for tours on Saturday from about 11am to about 2pm., access from Main Street thorugh the front gate.
The Gardens will be open Friday from about 11am to 2pm, access from the WHEELhouse Visitor Centeron Division Street through the back gate.
